Matt Findley is a husband and father of two children living in North Central Texas. He received his PharmD in 2009 and has been practicing both pharmacy and photography since the birth of his son in 2010.
His work has been featured in the American Photography online gallery and annual in three out of the last four years (2019-2023). Many of his images take weeks to months to complete, involving thousands of layers, using a slow, gradual process to create works that blur the line between photo and illustration. He is strongly against the use of any AI or AI processing techniques in his work and is a passionate advocate for transparency in creation as we move into this new era of photography.
His latest and ongoing series, "Anomium", is a meditation on the fragility of childhood innocence. His newest series, "Attaca", will examine similar themes to "Anomium", with an emphasis on the future of childhood and its intersection with the rapid rise of intelligent machines and artificial intelligence.
